It could benefit from having some tape, true, but even without it I feel it is the most aesthetically pleasing.

1 and 4 are the same, 2 and 3 and 7 and 9b are essentially the same, 9a and 5 aren't vests

"9b" isn't a separate vest, it's just a photo of one being worn.

1 and 3 have pockets, 2 and 4 don't.

7 has that border.
