    I would not know, as I have never seen this show, I just know it has a weirdly great theme song.

    everything about this is familiar, the character designs, the music

    i looked up the intro on Youtube (not this song, it had a spoken intro) and it was like, i remember this!  i remember every word of this!

    i *also* remember, when i was a kid, being struck by how "serious" and "dark" the song sounded, and how much it jarred with the tone of the show itself

    i think this was on BBC1

    a surprising number of BBC children's shows were actually Canadian imports
