If you moved, where would you want to live?

From the sound of the place, if I lived anywhere other than Colorado, I would pick Kansas City, Missouri.

  • Metro area of a city in the tropics of the American continents, preferably one with good mass transit systems.

    Or Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Whoa, epipen, you look like my girlfriend.
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
    Chicago seems alright too
  • Alternatively, a small town somewhere.

    i have wondered about cities

London or Edinburgh, or even (very unlikely) somewhere abroad

idk though i'm pretty firmly rooted here, i don't really want to leave, except that limits what i can do with my life, in terms of work/opportunities

    Bristol maybe?
  • Edinburgh is quite nice, from the brief visit I went a few years ago.

St Andrews is also quite good.

Basically Scotland. I would move to Scotland if I could.

i feel like moving to Scotland is kinda my equivalent to 'moving to Canada', in that i feel most inclined to do so when i'm mad at Westminster and probably won't actually do it

otoh i do at least have relatives up there (in Brechin), so it would be one of the more sensible places i could move to
  • I have relatives up in Ayrshire, who I met last summer. It takes nearly seven hours to drive up there, but it's so peaceful and beautiful up there.
  • Edinburgh is almost as pricey as london. i would sooner move to glasgow

london is a great place to visit but an awful place to live, unless you have a looooot of money

honestly as far as the UK goes i would rather be in bristol or glasgow

as for anywhere in the world, i would probably choose, like, costa rica? or somewhere in south america? idk. taipei is a pretty sweet place to live tho

I haven't decided on one place in particular, tbh

The Pacific Northwest looks appealing though

It's not super easy for me to move for licensing reasons, but if I moved, I'd probably move to some place in Wisconsin (Madison most likely) or some place in Texas (probably Austin or around there).

    i think so yeah

I bet I could be pretty happy living in Maine somewhere.
  • Vancouver is nice, I guess I'll say there.

Living in not-Canada kind of interests me too but I don't really know where specifically. I used to fantasize about moving to Sweden.

Glasgow is probably much nicer IRL than it seems in my head

i don't actually know if i'd like living in a city at all, but i feel like if i did it should at least be somewhere vaguely glamorous?

but i really can't picture myself getting my own place in the countryside, so, cities

I'd be more interested in the darker alleyways of the city anyway.
  • If I moved, I'd want a giant car-home that housed everything I could want but also could move.
