    It really isn't gory by any means, just sinister and droll.

    but yeah by modern standards it isn't "gory" but david lynch doesnt have to go all HBO to achieve a level of unease

    There are a few scenes that are very unsettling, though not crazy gory.

    Also the movie is really depressing and goes to some dark places.

    But I'd say yes

    is it infrequent enough that if something like that happens i can just turn away? i'm here partly for camp factor and partly because a bunch of stuff i like was inspired by it
