There are tons of alone people on valentines day, and if they ARE in public, they are probably playing the "indirect lure" gambit where they wish somebody would come along and talk to them and offer their company, even if they aren't aware of it.
even if there is no sex or dating or romance involved it doesn't mean sharing each other's company isn't worth it. Spending some time wandering around town talking about things does wonders for meeting new friends.

If your loneradar is good enough, you can probably find somebody wandering around at the mall with an iPod, or just sitting at a bench staring off into space, or anywhere really.
If they aren't bitching about being alone on the internet they are out in the open, in public, alone, probably gambling to see if somebody finds them interesting. Many people do that, but it's never something people admit.

Well he's been having problems with his girlfriend (because I talked on the phone with her and they are in one of those relationship limbos now that fighting occured) so I asked his girlfriend if I could take him out for Valentine's day under a few conditions..... A) to raise his self-esteem and give him the "It's okay if you can't make her orgasm because it's not your fault" talk, because he listens to me .He helps me with video game shit I don't understand for myself, like PSP modding so I can play FF7 on my PSP. Emily has a boyfriend, and has rejected my offer to take her out on V-Day even though her BF is like, 140 miles away and probably at a bar cheating on her. And...I am not allowed to have sex with him. Even if he offers, and even if his GFs okay with it. Due to personal morality complications. I mean like I don't even know why that popped into my head at all, but now it did and I have to initiate that as a rule. So no sex in the champagne room with the nerdy modding rich-kind-of guy until I resolve things with Maria because she's wondering if I am coming back to her and still going "please come to my house on V-day I'm so alone T_T" and what not.
which reminds me I need to go to Maria's house and tell her LOLNO and head out to get a PSP Vita and watch movies rather than hide from her parents in her room and quietly make out with her and listen to her cry and moan about how horrible her life is. PSP Vitas and movies are much more fun.
