    this panel is so pretty
  • I read the first few volumes as a kid because they were stocked as leftovers from one of our SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAAAAAAAAIRs but they didn't have them all so I fell off.

I still remember it pretty well, though. Introduced me to the concept of quiches.
  • For once, or maybe twice, I was in my prime.
    A wonderful story.

I have the black-and-white omnibus. I think I prefer that over the colorized version.

color version was the only one I could find.

    Phoney Bone is a republican
  • I've started reading Bone myself (the colour version).

I've just barely started, but it's already pretty great.

I'm laughing pretty hard, and Jeff Smith has truly amazing compositional skills.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
I need to get back to this.

The two stupid rat creatures are the best background comic relief duo.

He actually ends up building a wall, too.

  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
    I love them.
  • Spoiler:
It is simply wonderful that Phoney Bone's campaign balloon caused this whole mess in the first place.
  • I've finished the main series. It was fun!

The ending's a bit rushed but it still basically works.

I'll get to reading Rose and Tall Tales soon.
  • fight. dream. horse. love.
god, it's almost half a decade since I finished this...

Its Cerebus Turn is a little less deft than I would like but it's really fun and clever 'n stuff
  • Yeah, it does get a bit too bogged down in the fantasy stuff, but it always saves itself from drowning in it at the last moment.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”

    I love them.

(Also ship them, although I think the text kind of does, too.)

    Hello from the future!

I'm rereading Bone, and wondering if you ever got around to reading Rose and tall Tales.

I always thought they were cousins, kind of like the three Bones.

I first read parts of Bone from that junior Disney Magazine, but I first read the full Bone from that omnibus, and yes, I do prefer it over the colorized version.
