Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
Justice: Heh. Though at the same time, Quagsire looks weird whenever it has a face that's not its usual derpy smile.
Eelektross: The only big Pokémon forum I've viewed extensively is Bulbagarden.

...OK, then. Sounds like a plan.
For some reason, I feel like the Pokémon AR Searcher app should be played outside for "the full experience." The gameplay trailer shoes it being used in someone's living room. I guess I'm just weird.
You haven't seen the terror I've seen in Serebii. Bulbagarden is good, good...Mother Erika takes good care of her children. Keeps them away from The Teeming.

Bumping because Viani is wondering what's going on.
I'm kind of surprised my post about the upcoming 3DS apps went mostly unnoticed. Oh, well. That's what happens sometimes.

I still want the giant boa constrictor, the sperm whale, the killer whale, and the quetzalcoatl.

Actually, Eelektross brings up a good point. What I had in mind for the quetzalcoatl Pokémon did look a bit like Archeops. Maybe it should look more like the painting Crmirnauc posted.
And on that note, I'm sure it'd get along really well with Xatu and Sigilyph.
Also, no wonder I stopped playing for so long. Holy shit I have two level 28's and a level 32 to raise to level 35, and a level 37 to raise to level 42 for the fifth gym leader in White

Yep. I don't remember the evolution method exactly, though. To Bulbapedia!
Here we go: Tynamo --(Lv.39)--> Eelektrik --(Thunderstone)--> Eelektross
Also, oh dear god Clay. For some stupid reason, he's the one I had the most trouble with out of the Gym Leaders.
^ Ah, good. Then I'll have a shiny Eelektross (got from a trade)
Also, yeah. Not taking chances on this run after the second gym leader nearly wiped me out (she wouldn't have if those two Timbur didn't fuck up the majority of my Pokemon... >.<)
My current team is a Furret, lv 29 (I considering the Dream World a location for the Nuzlocke Run :3), a Zorua, lv 27, a Darumaka, lv 32, a Krokorok, lv 32, a Maractus, lv 35, and a Stoutland, lv 37, with, in storage as Pokemon I swap in and out regularly, a Tirtouga, lv 30, a Leavanny, lv 30, and potential allies in a Vanillite, lv 25, a Minccino, lv 20, and a Ducklett, lv 22.
I also have a Liepard, lv 22, but I refuse to use her due to the one that fainted being based on my dead cat Ritz and :<
EDIT: Since I regularly swap (I plan on training all of the ones I use regularly, at the very least), should I swap out any of my current party for any in storage for the fight with Clay? I'm guessing yes, and I'm guessing swap out Darumaka for either Leavanny or Ducklett, as Leavanny resists and Ducklett is immune to ground (Tirtouga would be a bad idea due to rock typing)
Unfortunately, Ducklett, Vanillite, and possibly Leavanny (depending on how fast she is) would be absolutely wrecked by Excadrill's Rock Slide. The former two I found out about the hard way.
I ended up level grinding my Pignite so that Flame Charge would go before Excadrill's attack. Then again, I wasn't doing a Nuzlocke, so I don't know how that factors in.
So I'm guessing I'll be relying on my Stoutland for that fight, along with his Rock Smash and Work Up attacks (and a few potions to keep him strong), since I'll have him at level 42
My Krokorok could also do well, using Mud Slap to blind the Excadrill and then Dig to make him miss even more, along with an Embargo to prevent healing
On a hunch I looked up Clay's levels, then the electric leaders levels
Apparently all that time away from the games made me think I was 5 levels behind schedule when really Grounder the Furret and Toivo the Zoroark are the only ones left to train
Hmm...
That would mean, in terms of where the team should be by each point:
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
If it was a normal game, I'd probably go in with your team the way it is. But since you're doing a Nuzlocke, you might want to train everyone up to Level 35 early just to be safe.
And yes, I'm one of those people who had a lot of trouble with Ghetsis. I've heard he's really easy if you have "a good Fighting Pokémon," but to be perfectly honest, none of the Fighting Pokémon in Unova appeal to me except Emboar and maybe Mienshao (which I haven't used yet; maybe I should try one out in BW2).
So I poked around to see what the general reaction was to the Pokémon in Black and White 2 that have been revealed so far. Things seem somewhat optimistic, and it's interesting to see which ones other people want to see.
I'll still never understand the backlash against popular and hyped-up Pokémon appearing. I don't see why we can't like both popular and more obscure Pokémon. Oh well, nothing I can do about that.

That was really nice of you. I hope she enjoys it.
She chose Oshawott (even though I said I could breed one for her). She got a male but, not knowing the symbols for male and female, named him after herself
...If anybody here needs an Oshawott, I can breed my Dewott and trade an egg for a Tepig/Tepig Egg
@ProfessorGator: Can't force you to be interested in any pokemon, of course, but I personally feel that Gen 5 has some very strong fighting types. Including Mienshao. Mienshao's a boss.

Glad to hear the voice of approval on Mienshao.
Admittedly, I think part of it is that Fighting-types tend to not catch my interest as much as most of the other types. Out of all of the Fighting Pokémon so far, the only ones I'd definitely add to my collection if I could are:
the Hitmon trio, Blaziken, Breloom, Lucario, Emboar, and Mienshao
I guess I just prefer the ones that aren't completely human-shaped.
Fighting is mostly my favorite type, although I confess to not being a huge fan of the Hitmon trio. I'd have to say my favorite is Mienshao, followed by Blaziken, then Breloom (easily one of the best trolls in pokemon).
In other news, I think I'm going to look into playing Little Cup on PO. I've always really liked the cutesier pokemon, so it just seems right. I'm getting sick and tired of seeing Scizor all the time, anyway.

Something I was thinking about today: When Black and White first came out, Zekrom was hands-down the more popular of the two mascots, so Reshiram was more of an underdog. However, I've noticed more and more people saying they got Pokémon Black because they like the look of Reshiram better. Would it be unreasonable to conclude that Reshiram's popularity has overtaken, or at least caught up to, Zekrom's?

Yep, as part of the whole yin and yang theme.
Funny thing is, most people tend to assume the opposite. Reshiram's gently flowing figure and more mammalian appearance was seen as feminine, and Zekrom's bulkier physique and more reptilian face was seen as masculine.
In fact, I remember reading one post on Bulbagarden that said something along the lines of, "I like to imagine Reshiram as a feminine male and Zekrom as a masculine female. I think it would be interesting to reverse the stereotypes like that."
I have an image saved that explains the yin yang in detail. I'll find that and post it when on my computer
Also, my sister tried to use the event Darkrai to beat the third gym leader. I managed to get her to switch to her other pokemon before she beat Dwebble and Leavenny and got her to agree that it's more satisfying to struggle for your victory
By the way, Clay was piss easy. My Maractus got + 2 special attack on the first Acupressure, and then was swaggered. He hit himself on the next turn, got tormented, then broke the confusion and Giga Drained back to full health
Even Excadrill couldn't stand a boosted Needle Arm/Giga Drain combo (kept barely surviving then getting Hyper Potioned for a while)
Currently training my Vanillite and Boldore to murder Skyla with (joined by my Tirtouga), then my Litwick to help with the ice leader, then idunnolol for the dragon leader
E4 should be easy with Litwick, Zoroark, and Furret (yay Shadow Claw) against the Ghost and Psychic ones, Darumitan against the Dark leader (Hammer Arm), and if the other one is steel then Darumitan again, if Fighting then Litwick and Maractus. And of course a level 57-62 Stoutland for backup
N shouldn't be too hard with Zekrom added along with my other Pokemon. Then Ghetsis... Uh... Can you leave the castle? Cause I'd like to train to level 60 for that... Nuzlocke + Maniac do not mix (at least if I experience a wipe, I'll have Stoutland as back up (figure it would be better to have him as backup for N/Ghetsis)... Guess Shiva my Vanillite would be handy for that Murdergon... If I have a dragon type other than Zekrom by then then they'll come in handy...
Tl;dr: Smooth Sailing until Ghetsis' Hydreigon predicted, then FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUU-

It's official, then. I'm pretty much the only person who has consistently had more trouble with Clay than Elesa and Lenora. It probably is because I'm not prepared enough.
I didn't have Maractus, though. I'm actually curious to try one out, partly because they were so cute in the animé. Your story has just made me even more curious.
Elesa was also easy (Helped that my Krokorok was immune to her electric attacks)
Lenora nearly wiped me, but that was only because two Timburr, on separate occasions, took out a huge chunk of my team, leaving me with only a Herdier and a Liepard at the appropriate level for her (if not a bit weaker). If I had my Snivy, Swoobat, that zebra thing, and the other Pokemon I caught but forget what it was, then she would have been easy (might have taken out one or two, but otherwise easy)
Yeah, Elesa and Lenora were both pretty easy for me. I think I beat Lenora on my first try all 3 times I played through the game. Elesa only took 2 tries at my worst (her Zebstrika's Flame Charge caught me a little off guard). I just, for some reason, was completely unprepared for Clay's Excadrill.
Anybody have a Tepig or Archen egg they can trade me? As I'm still working through the main story, I can't breed my Snivy or Carracosta, but thankfully my Dewott is female so I can breed her
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
I don't think I'll be able to have a Tepig egg ready anytime soon, but fortunately, I have a female Archeops. Granted, Terra isn't exactly bred for competitive battling, but I'm guessing that won't be too much of a problem. I can have an egg ready by Sunday, if that's all right.
Is there any gender, nickname, or nature you want?

Gender and nature don't really matter too much, as long as it doesn't decrease either of the attack stats. Though would you mind nicknaming the Oshawott Eikichii if he's a boy or Muli if she's a girl? Thanks!

If I was going by the fact that Onix and Steelix are sort of based on snakes, I'd say Arizona, since it's warmer. But I don't know how their being made of minerals would factor in.
And wow, that took shorter than I thought. I already have an Archen egg. I think I'll actually be ready by tomorrow. Do you want me to get it down to almost hatched before I give it to you, Crmirnauc? That way, you don't have to walk as far.

So should I train to level 35 for Clay or keep it a bit challenging and just follow this progression?
Alright, I'll keep training. If Clay ends up too easy, I'll skip training for the 6th leader
She's already faced N for the first time. The only other Pokemon games she's played that you can trade Pokemon from are Colosseum and Blue
