Usually "pop" (which is the standard around here) but I've found myself occasionally saying "soda" due to influence from Internet Americans.
To be more specific, I'll say "pop" when referring to fizzy sugary drinks in general, but my instinct is now to say "orange soda" rather than "orange pop" for instance. The word "soda" on its own generally means "soda water" in these parts, so I still wouldn't use it for other things.
The only other common item that uses "soda" is "baking soda".
"Pop", meanwhile, is something you can call your dad, or something your dad likes listening to, or something you can use a miniature drumstick, or something you can do to a balloon.
"Coke" is either a particular brand of cola, or the cola they make, or a drug, or a coal product.
The generic, lower-case version of "coke" is fascinating to me because it's clearly regional but it's not one region and I can't quite figure out why it's the default in those places.

my grandparents use(d) that one but they live right outside Atlanta where Coca-Cola headquarters is

This. Flavor + soda = pop. $FlavorWord + "soda" = $WhatKindOfPop, or a brand name is used to refer specifically to that brand of pop.
