You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
I'm still amused that "sherbet" means an entirely different thing in America
The word "sorbet" is derived from the Arabic word "Sharbat" (fragrant mashed fruit drink).[1] However, the root is present in such Indo-European languages as Greek and Persian for example.[2] The English word "sherbet" entered English directly from the Turkish in the early 17th century.
The mediaeval equivalent, roughly. Now it can just mean cold fruit soda depending on where you are, or something more along those lines. It's sort of a genre of drink rather than a specific thing, if you will.
Comments
the outside is rice paper and the inside is sherbet
EDIT: Oh, hey, Odra beat me to it.
it's a fizzy powder, you can get it as a dip, or in tubes, or as a centre like in flying saucers or sherbet lemons
i didn't realize it was specifically a British thing
i was referencing a Skrillex song because that was the context in which i was familiar with Fun Dip
