I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
as someone who grew up with 3D games, I admit that I always found the "institutional" opinion that 3D games were confusing, foreign, and even Bad to be a frustrating view

It's the fault of 90s SNES kids who think the X-Men cartoon was good and can't talk without quoting the Simpsons
Mario Sunshine was good but it felt shorter than 64 to me, i suppose i would have liked more worlds
generally i like eclecticism in my entertainment but i can appreciate that Sunshine had a more cohesive built world, it made Isle Delfino feel almost like a real place you could explore
as for the X-Men cartoon i think i liked it at one point. i'm not sure
it was never a favourite but i watched it a few times
iirc when i was younger it was one of those cartoons i wouldn't watch because it looked too 'grey' and the stories and action were 'nasty', which meant it was for older kids

"Don't Go to Venice", with sled dogs.
and everyone knows 2D is almost always better than 3D, jeez
3D Sonic games, yes, they get criticized all the time
3D Mario? most people seem to love those
like i'm pretty sure i've heard them cited as 'a rare case of 3D platforming done right' more than twice
i have heard that
but i've heard nothing but praise for 64 and Galaxy, that i can recall

it's very colourful and varied, lots of nice creature designs and comic details
