I think it's mainly just a teenager who didn't fully understand the rules of D&D, and just ran with that.

I can see an argument for a thief being Lawful Good if we define the first part in terms of Kantian ethics or something, but you're probably right. Most middle schoolers don't think that way, not because they're dumb so much as because I doubt they have the reference points or emotional experience to make the argument that theft can be part of a rules-driven ethics system.

But the fact that Pulling thought the "Good" part was the weirder of the two is telling. Like, does she know who Robin Hood is?
