I was definitely surprised at how fast two of the main hanging threads were wrapped up. Especially the Malachite one, since the stuff with the Cluster is at least kind of the end of an arc. Still, you'd think that both of those would at least deserve two-parters of their own instead of being both jammed into one sorta-kinda-two-parter.
On the other hand, I was always less hyped for a big fight against Malachite than for the followup of Lapis Being In The Show.

Same. I got so super emotional over "I love you Peridot!" "Wow, thanks!" that I was barely able to process my excitement for this, but Lapis's happiness has been all I've asked for from Rebecca Sugar since Mirror Gem.
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
I cheered at the reveal of Peridot's powers. Anonus can confirm!

added a spoiler warning to the thread title just in case anyone didn't know
I assumed from what the Ruby said that Rose shattering Pink Diamond happened before her rebellion started in earnest, but I guess that does contradict the fact that she was Jasper's original diamond and the Beta Kindergarten was built while the war was already on.
I don't remember all the details from all the flashbacks but I assumed The Answer took place very early in the rebellion when I watched it.
(Now that I look at the Reddit comments I guess the latter question was discussed a bunch in there already.)

Are the corrupted gems out of the picture again?
