As far as I can tell, only haven and I play Splatoon here, which I can probably count as a general lack of Wii U ownership 'round these parts in general, however I would nonetheless like to create a thread dedicated to all things splatoon related!

Be it fanworks, strategies, play journals, or even just squid puns, I invite anyone ink-lined to partake in this thread to use it!

Yeah, I really wanted to play Splatoon but just not enough to buy a Wii U.

It was fun when I played it a bit at a friend's house.

I play Splatoon too. I got pretty hooked on it after getting it on sale back in December. I play it a bit less now than I used to, but it is still one of my favorite Wii U games. I think it is probably the best online game Nintendo has ever made and I say that as someone who generally dislikes shooters.

The music is also pretty great. I really like the final boss music (all three phases plus Squid Sisters), Quick Start, and Ink Me Up (Splatfest theme). What about you? Do you have any favorite tracks?

It looks like I was lucky this Splatfest and ended up on the side with a ton of really great players. They carried me all the way to Blue royalty, haha.

As for music, I love all those themes, as well as the Octoling theme and Maritime Memories (the credits roll)

I have Splatoon, but the Wii U is in the living room, and since that TV is almost always in use, I don't get to play it much.

North American Splatfest results:

I thought that was pretty lopsided until I saw Japan's results.

Europe's was a bit closer, but not by much.

The squid sisters are getting amiibo. It looks like they'll unlock songs/music videos instead of gear and weapons.

The other amiibo are also getting recolors, I guess. No word on whether the squid is ever going to be available separately in North America though...
