  I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat

  it just seems like that endless, joyless suffering has gotten to be even more endless and joyless within my lifetime

  Except my classes tended to like to overwork me before a break. Which sucked.

  Our spring semester goes January to May usually and there's typically a week off during March.

  Oh right, I forgot that your semesters are a couple weeks longer than ours.
  
  Here it ends in early April and the break is in February. I think most Canadian schools are similar.

  Yeah, summer break homework is not a whole lot of fun either. I remember having some especially obnoxious summer assignments in high school.

  On one hand, I can agree that work can be tough sometimes (depending on the job) and that it can be sort of never ending. On the other hand, I am really glad to not have any homework, exams, or grades to worry about on nights and weekends.
