birds look so much like dinosaurs - or i guess recent reconstructions of dinosaurs look so much like birds - that i've basically gotten to thinking of them as the same thing
like i'll see a starling or whatever and i'll catch myself thinking 'there's a dinosaur in that tree', just like that's a perfectly normal thing to think, dinosaur first and bird second
i like to think that being an asshole atheist means obsessing with people being starstuff and being a scientist means obsessing with starstuff being people
i honestly think 'people are starstuff' was kind of a pretty image and not assholish
i was just reminded of that comic anyway
i mean like the poetry of the observation falls apart if you scrutinize it (see above) but i don't think it's an asshole thing to say 'we're all starstuff'

yntkt
dinosaurs, if taken to exclude birds, are paraphyletic
it's still a starling
as far as i'm concerned, humans are technically apes
of course it's not much of a jump from here to saying mammals are reptiles or all vertebrates are fish, which is clearly wrong

you were being silly so i posted a comic which was also silly
i was expecting a cookie

#That shitty Mario Movie.
Spot IS a dinosaur.
