Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
Whoops. Didn't mean it quite like that. I meant just sticking Hitmonchan's boxing gloves on a Feraligatr.
Speaking of hybrids, there's a Tumblr with Pokémon sprite mixes on it, though it's not active at the moment. The person who does them is really good at it. Here it is.

Yep.
As I said on the previous page, I binge-watched videos of it on YouTube the other day, and it somehow turned into Feraligatr boxing in my head. I was joking about the crossover, though.
^^That and Serperior are good possibilities. I'm mostly trying to think of outlandish-sounding ones that still make sense visually, so I didn't think of those at first.

From what I've seen, as long as you can dodge all his uppercuts in the first half of Round 1, it gets a bit easier. I haven't played it either, though.
I've been thinking about making up a region to set a P:TA game in, maybe a possible setting for the "Char Cole" campaign. I know I want it to have a warm climate, a gator swamp, and either a sandy desert or a hot, arid mountain area. After that, I'm stumped, though.
So what would you guys put in your region if you made one up?

I like Steven the best out of the Champions. But usually, I'm more interested in the Gym Leaders and sometimes the professors than the Champions.

^^...Okay, then.
I've been thinking about Pokémon stereotypes recently. Pokémon that are reasonably well-known seem to have one or two particular personalities that a lot of people like to give them. Most of them seem to be based off their appearances in the animé, but there are others that are based elsewhere.
The one in particular that I'm thinking of is Snivy. From what I've seen and heard offhand, there's the "Smugleaf" personality and a less prevalent prissy princess sort of personality. I actually prefer the second one. It sounds like the kind of character that would be interesting to see grow and develop on a Pokémon journey. "Smugleaf" was funny at first, but the joke kinda got old, and I'd rather have a Pokémon who's prideful but not in an obnoxious "LOL I SO SMUG I TROLL U" way.
The Smugleaf meme was so shit, so forced. It was like "look i'm on memegenerator!" and everyone was like "so?"
I don't attribute personalities to pokemon, I just go by their nature. Mild Gengar, Impish Gengar, Modest Gengar all seem different in my head and what not.
^That makes sense. I personally like the idea of giving my Pokémon personalities, but now that I think about it, I've never really put a lot of thought into it while I was playing.
But what I was thinking of is like how a lot of people like to think of Charizard as a proud, stubborn warrior and Alakazam as a calm, collected erudite. Mostly, it seems to be because that's how they're portrayed in the animé and the Mystery Dungeon games.
I think it might be interesting if there were Pokémon characters that didn't follow those stereotypes, at least not completely. To put it in terms of natures, something like a Docile or Modest Charizard instead of a Hardy or Bold one.
^This is probably not what you meant, but making a fangame would be a good way to include non-stereotypical Pokémon characters.
Anyhow, I haven't played many of those. I'm oddly interested in Type:Wild even though I have next to no experience with fighting games.
If that exists, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Ralts family had next to no visual changes.
Anyhow, I was thinking about starting a new run of Pokémon HeartGold even though I got a shiny Psyduck and PokéRus on my current savefile. (Yay perfectionism!) So, 2 questions, one of which is a little long, so I'll post it later.
Question 1: Should I trade over the shiny Psyduck and a PokéRus-infected Safari Zone Geodude that I didn't intend to keep to my Diamond game? I kind of want to preserve both of these things, since they were really lucky.
That's exactly what I did. Turns out, you can trade Pokémon between a 3DS and a DS "Phat."
Pokérus is a rare status effect that makes your Pokémon's stats grow faster. Even if you're like me and not into competitive battling, it's nice to know that your Pokémon get stronger more quickly. And the reason I said it was really lucky was because it's actually less than half as likely as finding a shiny Pokémon. You can imagine my surprise when I found it right after the second gym.
Also I came across a shiny exactly once in my Pokemon career, and that was back when I was still playing Crystal. I don't know how you guys manage to seemingly find them all the time.
I found a Shiny Tentacool once on Ruby. All my pokemon were level 85+, it was level 13, so I had to throw endless pokeballs at it. On my 44th pokeball I got it.
Bulbapedia says that if you get Pokérus and take it to the Pokémon Center within a day or so, "Nurse Joy" tells you that your Pokémon is infected with a strange virus.
Also, the shiny Psyduck is the only shiny I've ever actually caught. I've been playing Pokémon games on and off for ten years, and I never saw a shiny until I played through Diamond a year and a half ago and found a gold Steelix. In total, I've only seen three shinies, and I knocked out both the Steelix and a Maractus in White by accident.
I saw a Strange Zapdos, Rhydon, and Tauros in the Battle Tower on Emerald on the higher leveled fights, and I was so mad every time I noticed that...well...randomized fights in Battle Tower actually apply towards the amount of Shinies you can see...even though you can't CATCH them.
Oh, really? (checks Bulbapedia) Huh. I heard that the Emerald Battle Tower occasionally had shinies, but I thought the fights were picked from a big preset list like the ones from the Battle Subway.
Ouch. Sorry about that.
On another subject, fulfilling my promise for posting question 2 "later:" I have a shortlist of Pokémon I want to get in my next run, not counting Legendaries, the Togepi egg, or the Blackthorn elder's Dratini. Here's a picture of the list (spot the hidden typo!). Which of these do you think I should use, or should I just catch all of them and then pick? I don't want to have a bigger collection than I can keep up with before beating the first half of the game, but at the same time, it'll all fit in one PC box.
Hmm, I never thought about that one before. 403 ERROR might be a really cool one to use.

^I used to do it all the time, but I never thought to do it again until just a few days ago.
I've also never caught a Magnemite before. I'm curious about that, too, but not quite as much as everything else on the list.
I should probably mention that the reason I want to start my HeartGold game over is that I want my Feraligatr to be female and my Extremespeed Dratini to be male, but I saved my game with them having the opposite genders. The former is for no particular reason, and the latter is because A) in case anyone wants an extra Extremespeed Dratini after I've evolved him into Dragonite and B) I have better boy nicknames for a Dragonite than girl nicknames.

Doublepost bump ahoy!
Today, I traded a Pokérus Swinub for a Charmander with Flare Blitz. This, along with the fact that my Shiny Psyduck is both Pokérus-infected and safe in another collection, has somehow given me inspiration to actually restart HeartGold and do the gender-swapped game like I keep saying I should.
And so Makara "Little Mac" Totodile is ready for her adventure.

^I'm not that into competitive battling, so I can't help you there. Sorry about that.
So, if I may ask one of my usual "What's your favorite x?" questions, what regions do you like the best? I'm fond of Johto, partly for nostalgia purposes, partly for the atmosphere, and partly because a lot of my favorite Pokémon are there. Hoenn, Unova, and Oblivia are pretty nice, too. Sinnoh has a few Pokémon I like, but it's a bit cold for my tastes.

(whistling happily as I wiki walk through Bulbapedia)
Let's see what the front page looks like today. Wait, what's this at the bottom? Pokémon Black and White 2? I need to see this article.
Oh, wow! This isn't a hoax, is it? The official Pokémon website says... No, it's not! Looks like instead of getting "Gray" (or "Grey" if you prefer) we're getting an actual sequel to Black and White. Cool!
I wonder if this game will have different protagonists. That might be pretty interesting.

Japan gets a lot of the cool Pokémon stuff. They have those planes and the Pokémon Center stores and a whole bunch of arcade games and (goes on and on)
Which is to be expected, considering that's its country of origin, but still.

One of the main differences is the Pokémon that are available in the first part of the game. HeartGold/SoulSilver have most of the first 251 Pokémon, whereas Black/White have all new ones. But in both games, you get Pokémon from the other games after you beat the main story. Also, HeartGold/SoulSilver has the Pokéathlon as a minigame (and a very fun one, at least in my opinion). Black/White doesn't have as much in the way of minigames, but it has more of a fleshed-out and involved storyline.
Basically, I'd recommend HeartGold/SoulSilver if you want older Pokémon that you're comfortable with and more mini-games. But if you want to see the newer Pokémon and moves and have a more fleshed-out story, get Black/White.

A Champion I actually mildly enjoy seeing constantly while I leveled up my mons.
When they replaced Steven with the Gym Leader from Sootopolis in Emerald I was like BAWWWWWWWWWW
(mostly because he ran water monsters and had very few exploitable weaknesses)
but other than that he wasn't a bothersome dick like Blue.
