Q98 Chair: One is: if "good" requires pupil performance to exceed the national average, and if all schools must be good, how is this mathematically possible?
Michael Gove: By getting better all the time.
Q99 Chair: So it is possible, is it?
Michael Gove: It is possible to get better all the time.
Q100 Chair: Were you better at literacy than numeracy, Secretary of State?
Michael Gove: I cannot remember.

it saddens me that gove is in a position of any kind of power
but then i remember that literally everyone in the country hates him and he looks like a retarded duck with big glasses and it makes me feel a bit better
You are the end result of a “would you push the button” prompt where the prompt was “you have unlimited godlike powers but you appear to all and sundry to be an impetuous child” – Zero, 2022
I should note that the primary reason he's even called "Christopher Columbus" (closest to his Italian birth name which it's unlikely anyone in his adult life called him by) is because it sounds germanic, something a lot of racist organizations would have a big interest in.
The Knights of Columbus, for their part, are a pretty terrible organization for many of the same reasons Opus Dei is. They are, in principle, a good organization, in that they donate a lot of money to charities and a case can be made that they helped end segregation in the United States, but like a lot of larger Catholic organizations whose actions are not supervised by the Church, they have serious racist and sexist elements within their ranks, and often do more harm than good through their ignorance on particular issues.
Actual professional trolls Game Freak. (For the less Pokémon inclined among you, Growl is also a move that reduces attack. And is learned 2 levels earlier.)

Also hearing about what a terrible person Columbus was is always a little uncomfortable because I live in a city named after the guy

I've heard bad things about the Oatmeal, but this is a pretty good article.
And yes, Colombus was a bastard.
The guy who writes The Oatmeal is an enormous douche, but sometimes he can make points decently.
This article actually leaves a number of things out (such as how Columbus was considered a complete shrieking shithead even in his own day, and how he was removed from his position as Viceroy of Hispaniola), but it's still a good start.
All of the information in this essay came from A People's History of the United States, by Howard Zinn, and Lies My Teacher Told Me, by James W. Lowewen, both of which uses primary sources such eyewitness accounts, journal entries, and letters from Christopher Columbus himself.
I highly, highly, highly recommend both of these books.

hooray
Cristobal Colon was a terrible person, and deserves a legacy on par with other noted slaughterers of populations of which they were not a part.
