I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
Joking aside, I do wish that Space Ghost Coast to Coast and Cow and Chicken had bigger fandoms than they do
Though at least SGC2C managed to spawn Adult Swim; David Feiss's career is just kinda sad (ever since C&C and IAW, he got booted out of [one of] Hotel Transylvania's director's chair[s], and he's most recently done grunt work on Rango and Despicable Me 2) :/
On investigation, there are no references to Rosamunde Pilcher on TV Tropes. This is at most mildly surprising. i doubt there is much overlap between her readers and tropers.
i thought it would, but i thought it might not count because of the satirical aspects.
i asked because it seems to have quite a substantial online fandom.
Which is odd, because most people i've mentioned it to IRL hadn't heard of it, and those that had were surprised i had read it.
Post-modernism is frequently self-critical and humorous. Consider Derrida. But setting that aside, Danielewski's games with form are decidedly post-modern.
I knew a lot of people who had heard of it and several who had read it, but my circle of friends is a fairly strange one. Not stereotypical nerds, but very nerdy in many respects, very into dense and challenging reading, music, art. Like hipsters without the trendiness.

but i think one has to admit that when fandoms get to a certain size they tend to attract some... less savoury types

How DARE you acknowledge people as human beings instead of generalizing based on labels!
but i honestly enjoyed the 3D titles i played, even tho they weren't as good as the earlier games in the series
You say that the 101 Dalmatians fandom hardly exists. They have multiple fan art on Deviantart.
That's more than I can say for The King's Shadow.
You don't know how good you have it.
there is 1 fan drawing relating to that series on Deviantart and it's not even very good
OK i admit, that's miles better than i could do
but then people would have to read stuff
i just looked up Wild Mountain Thyme by Rosamunde Pilcher on Deviantart; no results whatsoever.
Not only does Tv Tropes have no page for The King's Shadow, it has absolutely no references to it; no trope examples.
There's no strict definition of it

We're obscurity-buddies!
Oh, obscurity-buddies! Yay, i think?
I find Tsubasa Kazanari most attractive of the Symphogear cast but Chris Yukine is a more interesting character.
