Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
For future reference: Gengar + Expert Belt + TMs = Awesome

Nintendo's plans for E3 this year have taken a lot of people by surprise. Earlier this year, they announced that they will not have a big presentation like previous years and yesterday they confirmed that they will be hosting a Nintendo Direct on June 11th. Today, it has also emerged that Nintendo will be hosting a special Pokémon X and Y themed round-table and Q&A on June 11th at 6pm (PDT) after their Nintendo Direct showcase. The panel will be 90 minutes long and include Tsunekazu Ishihara and Junichi Masuda.
What details will be announced at the show remains to be seen, but this is certainly a first for Pokémon!
Actually, no it isn't. I can understand Fairy having an offensive advantage against Dragon for the sake of balance, but why are they immune to Dragon attacks?
From what I can tell, Fae are super effective against dragons because magic must defeat magic (...Although I always though dragons were magic resistant...). Going to have to look up legends for why they are immune to dragons, however
And yeah, as Fossilmaiden said, dragons are cold blooded. Ice is not going to be fun for a giant reptile

They're immune to Dragon? Where did anyone say that?

I think that might come from the Nintendo of America intern's leak a while back. As I recall, they also said that Fairy would be weak against Poison and Steel.

And thinking about it, it would make sense: if Nintendo is trying to balance types, Poison and Steel could really use an offensive buff.
Hmm. I'd probably make Fairy weak to Dark as well (just for thematic purposes), but that seems fair.
Matter'a'fact, Fairy and Dark remind me of Terraria's Hallowed and Corrupted areas. One's light and fluffy, the other's dark and gritty, and they're both trying to kill you.

He's one of the only two Pokemon that have been OU since Gen 1 for a reason. (The other one is Starmie. Dat coverage and Rapid Spin).
Disable is a fun move to give him - if your opponent has only 1 move that can even hit Gengar, he's 100% boned after a Disable.
I really hope Smash was wrong and Fairy won't be weak to fighting and strong against Ice. Fighting's overpowered enough in Gen 5 and Ice is already the butt monkey typing.
Because fighting really needs to be stronger offensively
how can it survive with only 5 types it's super effective against!
I just realized - a lot of the fairy-like Pokemon right now are Normal type. There might be a lot of Norma/Fairy types with a 4x weakness to Fighting running around.
The endgame content in B2W2 is impressive in quantity, and to a certain extent quality, but severely lacking in accessibility. Pokemon isn't a sandbox game;there shouldn't be a great deal of hidden content.

It isn't a wide open sandbox game, but there is a limited form of non-linearity present.

oh, ok
let me get set up.
Fairy type confirmed
That is all.
And most other types have moves that are just as powerful.
Assassin poems, Poems that shoot
guns. Poems that wrestle cops into alleys
and take their weapons leaving them dead
