Since you've cleared the floor, I suppose I should level you all up again.
On the note of floors, I'm going to recommend you all return to the Academy before tackling Floor 3, for a couple of reasons, but mostly because I'm not going to be here for most of tomorrow and won't have the time to draw up a floorplan and do a session.
Question: Necromancy aside, what is the afterlife situation in Dungeonlandia? And is there a deity of death/life/etc.?
Necromancy aside, they don't really know any more about the afterlife than we do. Faith Magic works based on the faith of the wielder, not any objective divine power.
There are about a half-dozen deities of the dead. Set is the god of Necromancy, but the more traditional "benevolent" god of the Afterlife would be Nalvrusche. There's also Al'Khuzar/Al'Khazur, who is sort of in the middle of those two extremes and whose cults have mostly died out. He's only particularly relevant if you're character is say, a mummy.
There are several different pantheons your character could hypothetically believe in, but Nalvrusche's (The Dorean Pantheon) is the most likely.
edit: N. personally seems like he'd be a devout of Lior, the Goddess of 10,000 Mysteries, if anyone. She's the most commonly worshiped Magic Deity, of which there are surprisingly few.
the most notable fire deity is Helmut The Forgeman, but that's not someone a wizard would worship.
Kenneth would probably go for Kei'i, assuming he's religious. Gender-neutral deity with a somewhat shady cult around him that stretches back several thousand years and also used to include blood witches. Seems like something right up his alley.
I should write these down. I've got a list of names and the profiles in my head but I didn't bother to commit them to paper because I didn't really think it'd come up.
Given that I've always seen Kenneth as coming from a family of shady yet somber people, that sounds perfect.
Kei'i is also known as the Fire At The Center of the World. His old devotees (the Bloodwitches) are known as The Bloodflame, his current cult tend to simply call themselves Fire-worshipers.
On a more serious note, there really isn't much I could tell you there. All I know about Nathan so far is that he's sort of weird and gets into odd situations a lot.
Alternately, existing in more than one fictional continuity is somehow totally in character for Xom.
Any gods devoted to the pursuit of knowledge? N doesn't seem to be the religious type, but I should know who he'd worship if he was.
Lior. There's also the more minor Ilbel, who is literally the god of books, reading, and learning, and who does not have a particularly strong cult (his followers tend to be solitary archmages and the like).

Another 20. No upgrades this level up but a new spell slot, alt-cast, or passive.
If any of you don't know what those are, let me know.

You've been doing pretty awesome so far. You'll just have to make up for the lost fight. :P
You couldn't have accounted for what basically counts as a natural 1 and natural 20
I assumed he had it stowed in the Magic PouchTM that you all carry your things in.
they're basically pocket dimensions. As long as you can fit something in the opening it'll go in.

Wait, you used that sack to strangle the goblin?
I guess that explains why he's dead, but at any rate from the outside it's just an ordinary bag.

now if only I could find the priest's name
because I forgot to write it down.
I know, but I forget where in this thread.

I wouldn't worry about the Tombs just yet. You have to get through the Rocky Caves first.
Below the Tombs is spoiler material.

He likes law and order and hates chaos and necromancy. Nathan is the embodiment of everything he hates.
