I will never understand the need to sanitize blatantly evil characters. It isn't always a case of "he/she's hot", either: I've seen this done to Ridley, who is a giant space dragon.

I mean it's OK to like evil characters, but glossing over their bad deeds is just plain wrong. I like Magus and I acknowledge that he's done really shitty and inexcusable things.
