Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."

Funny, I almost put "Microsoft Windows" because I figured you and Lee would have been using computers since before Microsoft's complete domination of the consumer market.
Doctor Who reference in Pokemon B2W2? Headcanon accepted.
When it comes to windows, though, my favorite look is still the stock magenta style that FVWM comes with. If I could stick with that running the apps I like, I would from here on out.
Oh man, I miss FVWM. Memories of my first Unix PC, an IBM PC 350 I had for school in 1995.
As for Microsoft Windows? Either 3.0 or 3.1. Before 1990, Windows was something of a mythical beast; few people had seen it, and even fewer seemed to have a copy.

I had one or two games that ran on DOS, but being 5 I wasn't allowed to actually use DOS. I was just allowed to double-click the little batch file in Program Manager.
These games were ancient even at the time; I only had them because they were the only games we could find on floppy disks in 1996 and Mother's work computer didn't have a CD-ROM drive.

Well, the thing I find really interesting (and that graph of course doesn't show it) is how wide the 95 window (pun totally intended) is.
The people who said 95 range from late teens all the way up to late 20s...

95's UI, for all its quirkiness, was a pretty solid design, so I'm not surprised it had as much longevity as it did.
One thing I genuinely didn't expect, though, is that nobody in this thread has said 98. I figured some of the Heapers born in the mid-90s would have had that as their first...
