I hated that guy. Probably because he eventully just came a love interest for Kagome who you knew had absolutely no chance of winning her over and basically was just on screen to annoy Inuyasha.

It could be like most Soap Operas where Kagome goes "oh what the hell why not" and dryhumps Koga which triggers Inuyasha to confess his feelings for Kagome which sets it back to the status quo.

But because Rumiko Takahashi was the writer that would never happen.

Rumiko writing a clever twist is like Adele not being fat, it's never gonna happen
