But I don't want it to be used as a term of endearment! ;_;
"Oh my god, Central Avenue stole Akzidenz-Grotesk's boyfriend. She's such a bitch!" IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK

Ok, yeah, I should probably address this.
Men calling women bitches is not okay to me, because it has clear misogynistic undertones.
I like when women call themselves bitches, because they're reclaiming the term.
I'm kinda indifferent towards women calling women bitches as an insult. I think my desire to have the term applied to me as such comes mainly from my underlying desire to have people confirm that they see me as a woman.

That does make sense.
Wasn't trying to threadshit, and sorry if I sounded condescending.

You didn't sound condescending, but I thought it was worth a response.

I disagree with this pretty strongly, but I have a feeling that I'm not going to earn much favor or understanding if I try to explain why.

Where I am, this sort of qualifies as a gender neutral term, at least when it's being used as a term of endearment.
(As a term of endearment I don't have a problem with it, but I rarely hear it used as such.)
