There are a couple things I have never seen them used ever again on other games that I don't think they keep close to them. Non-iconics tend to be flexible I think, but things like Chocobos, Coeurls, Malboros, Ho-Chus and Behemoths (purple/yellow monster things with yawning manes) are probably going to gain a lawsuit.
But I wonder, does the use of Eligor (half skullman half-blade headed horse with wheel legs), Kyuvilduns and the Unknowns from the sunken Gelnika trigger the same thing?
And now that I think about it, what does Square think of non-profit fangames of characters/enemies from a decade or so ago?
