    My earliest recognizable memories date to 1997.

    To elaborate on what I qualify as recognizable, I actually have a recollection being aware of the year and time, as well as experiences specific to that time. My earliest memory is a dream I had when I was 3, and I also recall moments from early childhood like seeing my dad's apartment after he moved out, getting certain birthday gifts...

    But 99 was my last year I spent in Virginia, and I can think back to a number of memories from that time, as opposed to just places or moments.

    Essentially, '99 was the year I left the only home I'd ever known, and '14 was the year I worked, rather than attending school. Everything between those experiences forms my early life.
