The following phrases are NOT friendly banter suitable for gaming. In fact, they're only suitable for expressing an extremely high degree of anger at someone you really hate, and, even then, they're still very offensive.
* "fuck you, bitch"
* "get fucked in the butt"
* "I'm going to rape you"
* "fuck you, nigger"
* similar phrases that include language indicating/suggesting sexual assault or racial/ethnic/etc. slurs
"Get rekt" is also pretty harsh in terms of being generally insulting to people, but I can at least accept that in place of language like the above.

i was going to pick up call of duty after class today and i was looking forward to saying all of these things but now i know better
we all know these things? and are not fond of them?
like, i cant think of a meaningful way to respond to this because it's such an obvious statement
Sure, it's a problem that needs to be addressed within the culture of gaming as a whole but I don't know if anyone here is particularly interested in discussing it and we as a community are almost certainly not partaking in such behaviours ourselves.
Or consider it a dress rehearsal for something broader. I dunno.
"Get rekt"
"Bring it on scrublord, I'm ripped"
"geeeettttt dunked onnn"
"rip in pieces"
And if you wanna get old school
"Get owned, n00b"
(That last one physically hurt)
I would also not mind at all if the phrase "git gud" was never used again.
Still, though, I'd be willing to accept baby steps, if being okay with those could get people to stop being overtly racist or sexist or casually using language referring to such things as sexual assault.
But I do kind agree that there is a line that does not need to be crossed.
Yeah, "you so salty" and "you jelly" were things I heard from the black kids from the North Philly-adjacent part of my school district long before I found out they were gamer/internet things. Also: Modern non-surfer use of "dude."
A "jawn" is like the concrete equivalent to the broader and more abstract "thing"—a physical object.

"Trifling" seems like an English gentry thing.
It just means having enough restraint to not fly off the handle and react merely with passion, but to think it over and respond with purpose and planning.
