  good, and definitely a valid interpretation, but i don't really agree
  
  certainly, Chara is a person with likes and dislikes, but Chara definitely comes off as sinister
  
  kind of like a doppelganger, and encountering them is detrimental to the player
  
  (do we know "your friend with the creepy smile" isn't just Flowey behind you?)
