What would Donald Trump do without Fox News?

I do wonder what would happen if, somehow, Huckabee was elected

Would he suddenly "forget" all the nonsense he spouted about how the Supreme Court doesn't get to decide things? Or would he double down on it and get pissed when Congress and the courts insist he play by the rules?

I'm very much agreed with that. The problem is that the sort of people Sanders' policies would help the most are the same people who think that Trump will save them. How can we get around that?

Maybe his own base could start taking him seriously and vote for him over Hillary when they already seem to approve of him more?

    Just a thought.

I am not sure, but I suspect the former. I also suspect that were his more, dare I say, protectionist tendencies and early scepticism of the free market to emerge, the Congressional wolves would tear him to bloody shreds.

We can do anything if we do it together.

... That doesn't really relate to the post you quoted.

The Democrat base's relationship with Sanders is another issue entirely. The people who relate to Trump wouldn't listen to anyone who calls themselves a socialist anyway.
  • “I'm surprised. Those clothes… but, aren't you…?”
Democratic, not Democrat. Don't talk like a Republican.
  • The people who relate to Trump wouldn't be caught dead putting a checkbox next to anything with a (D) next to their name.  They can be safely considered a lost cause.

Elections haven't had a very noticeable swing vote in ages, and it's practically vanished by now.  It's all turnout.

^^ Remember I'm not an American, so I need to be educated on these things sometimes. Noted for the future, thanks.

^ They were who I was talking about with my original post, though, not the Democratic base like who you were talking about. You're not wrong with any of the points that you make, honestly.

Huckabee as president is such a surreal idea because, well, imagine a surgeon general appointed by the guy whose mailing list sent out this:

    -make fun of Mike Huckabee-

Heapers, we are no longer friends.  Mike Huckabee is my friend, he calls us on the phone every day, and he appreciates my household's vote, which is why we need to get to the polls and vote, because he needs our help to get elected.  See, I know he's my friend, he told me so.

It's pretty clear that they're joking.

It was a joke (regarding his obnoxious automated telephone calls which annoyed everyone in my hometown a few years back).

I only know of him from those stupid calls, so that's what I made fun of.

He/she. Aliroz accepts any pronouns but 'they'
