I actually do have questions about this because I Do Not Do My Own Fashioneering Yet. Do you shop online because there aren't places to shop locally, or is it just like, another venue, or???
I shop online because it allows me access a far greater amount of things than i could access locally generally speaking
that said, I mostly shop at thrift stores (mostly @ my local buffalo exchange, also goodwill), usually going a few times a week and picking up the odd good piece when it appears, because i am a student on a budget and also until recently i was losing quite a bit of weight (im still losing a bit but i am mostly done). I will also peruse sale racks at the mall, but usually it is trash because, y'know, mall clothes.
once I get a job i will probably keep that up because i love bargains more than anything else in the whole universe, but I will also probably pick up pieces from various end of season sales at boutiques that i like, Haven, Oak, Opening Ceremony and the like.
I also tend to plan out my shopping mentally, figuring out what things i lack in my wardrobe and keeping an eye out for things that would fill holes, current openings include:
* black lug-soled derbies
* platform sneakers
* a good biker jacket (i have too many coats but i just want this one more to round things out >~>)
* white oxfords (my old ones are too large now alas, i will maybe get some from uniqlo?)
* drapey t-shirts (i have a bunch, i want a bunch more)
* a few flannel shirts too maybe?
and i know im driftng off topic here but i just love clothes so much

>not two metres long
Also. What's up, is it too expensive, or just Obviously Not As Pictured If They're All The Same Pic, or?
also notice that these are all different sellers with the same product images
anyways, a nifty thing i found: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kill-City-Moto-Trench-Coat-motorcycle-jacket-light-weight-green-classy-small-/121728111756

I'm kind of embarrassingly underpracticed at forming my own fashion sense. as many nerds are, I imagine. so this helps.
clothes are definitely cool. i never thought of it much but it's cool to grow to have this sort of control over your visual identity.
