But, him saying a show you really liked sucks in the smuggest way possible doesn't mean you have to like, believe him or get angry about it.
I've learned there are a couple dozen people like him in the world that I've met, and devoting energy of my life to being angry at him is not worth it. Regardless if I just vent at a computer screen, or get off my ass and give him a stern talking-to, it's just not worth it.
I will not feel better if I got to sit in a room with him and explain why I don't believe his view of a movie I enjoyed is correct, or discuss the validity of his opinion against mine because he won an award. There may be a couple hundred people who believed his view on a movie was valid enough to get them to give him an award. He may say my opinion is flawed, inaccurate or invalid. He may even earn money by telling people what he thinks of movies.
It doesn't mean though, that I should change the way I, or he, thinks about something, because neither of us are going to change.

Ebert every once in a while gives three stars to something most critics say is utter shit.
I certainly wouldn't give much of a fuck, or even part of a single fuck, if I found he didn't like one of my favorite movies. You can say, in fact, that I would give no fucks, if this where the case.
Roger Ebert though Thor sucked which I loved. And UHF. And G.I. Joe. He liked Blade 2 though.
Regardless of whether or not I agree with him, he argues his points well and knows his shit. I think a lot of people get huffy because they can't find a refutation/subconsciously realize they don't think about film they like but don't want to admit it.
Of course that's a little armchair psychology so disregard that I suck cocks.
Quite so, but his sarcasm and jokes are at the expense of the movie, not at the expense of the viewer and reader, most of the time. And to be honest, if being biting against a movie is wrong, then I don't wanna be right.

He didn't like A Clockwork Orange, which is disappointing.
But he can still be fun to read, because witty.

Of all the critics whose work I've read, Robert's is the most agreeable.
I've never seen a review where he insults the audiences, which alone puts him miles above a lot of other critics.
