In which a man goes to space, and then flies back home by enveloping himself in a bunch of space cats and flying back in his furry protective suit of cats.
"The Rats in the Walls" might be my favourite Lovecraft story despite that detail. It is way, way more unsettling than a lot of his later work, perhaps because the writing feels more natural and the details accumulate more effectively.
