Setting aside some of the obvious problems (like that last sentence), it sounds like two late teenage-to-adult Americans talking rather than two English public school kids.

You might want to dial it back on the Outrage Meter, though. Someone who happens to be noteworthy had a tantrum when you hurt their feelings. That's on them. It hasn't turned you into persona non grata outside of one shitty SA thread full of fawning sycophants.
Self-loathing isn't a healthy response, but neither is diving into a rage about it periodically, seemingly every other day, no less when you can already be too full of that hatred or anger or whatever.
