Latitudes are pretty good laptops. They're business class, so parts should generally be really easy to find and replace. Very sturdy.

well if you put enough RAM in a box and hold the box near the computer it should still work fine but it'll probably be slow

the laptop was probably drawing on the ambient RAM in naney's house.

like, I didn't think they did that anymore except in embedded stuff. it's a very 1990s thing to do.

it still needs a charger though, the one i was using was able to keep it turned on but wasnt able to charge it at all

it has a battery, it is one of those ones that forms a substantial part of the bottom of the laptop that you slide out

and the laptop specifically mentioned that it wasnt able to charge due to the charger i had on hand not being good enough whilst booting up
