The Cardinals have a long history of success and I respect that. This incident certainly clashes with the "the Cardinals play baseball the right way" trope that is often associated with the team and their fans though.
As an Astros fan, this whole hacking thing has seemed really bizarre, partly because the Astros were the victim and partly because the Astros and Cardinals used to be division rivals a while back and have a history. Some stuff has come out recently suggesting that it might have been a vindictive move on the part of some people in the Cardinals front office after the Astros hired Jeff Luhnow, a former Cardinals employee, as their GM. I am not sure what to think about that.
