Suggestion for deities: Every species has its own god or possibly gods. There is a distinct God Of Leafcutter Ants, who is distinct from the God Of Army Ants, and who, though not worshipped, is in charge of the welfare of leafcutter Ants in general and who will intervene if a large leafcutter ant habitat is threatened. All species gods are the children of gods of larger groups that contain the species, with the God of Leafcutter Ants being the child of the God of Ants.
There may be different gods for different nations of sentient beings, and some groups might have more than one god, I don't know yet.

But if you want to narrow it, I'm cool with that, I just don't know as many Native American legendary animals.
