@Superglobe: Fair enough. I was mostly ranting there because I get annoyed with people who go on angry rants about those kinds of Pokémon whenever the subject comes up. A bit counterproductive on my part, come to think of it. Sorry about that.
I do like Charizard, but they're not my favorite starters. If I happened to rank them in a numerical list, Charizard would be somewhere around the middle. Then again, the only starters I don't really like are the Chimchar and Piplup families, and that's more in the sense of "don't care much" than "hate."

I like Lucario. I'm not really sure how I can explain it at the moment; the idea of a werewolf-jackal that can use mystical energy just appeals to me. And about Rule 34, yeah, it's weird and often a bit gross, but at this point, I'm used to it enough that it doesn't ruin anything for me.
I will admit, though, that I prefer Raichu to Pikachu. I like evolving my Pokémon, and oddly, Raichu's larger size and chubbiness makes it seem more cute and cuddly to me than Pikachu.

I like Zoroark, too, for pretty much the same reason why I like Lucario, except replace "werewolf-jackal (etc.)" with "talking illusionist werefox." I'm not sure which one I'd be better suited to train if they existed. I'm leaning towards Zoroark, as long as the individual I happen to train isn't too tricksy. I don't think I would have enough martial arts self-discipline for a Lucario.

^^^Out of the three Sinnoh dragons, Dialga used to be my favorite, but now I'm starting to warm up to Palkia. This is going mostly by design and concept, though, as I haven't used them that much.
I remember on R/S/E where you could make a secret base with copies of your most powerful party pokemon, for anyone who saves your info to fight.
That was the boss battles for me when the Elite 4 turned out to suck. Fighting a Team of LV100 Metwo, Rayquaza, Kyogre, Lugia, Deoxys and Groudon was very fun and an awesome goal.

Well my friend who reintroduced me had almost every single one except Jirachi at level 100, and saved his base next to Winona's gym, so when I went to his secret base and talked to him I could challenge his team to a fight.

^^Oh, it's from the record mixing thing. That's why I never saw it. I was a bit of a shut-in when I was 12.

It's possible, I think, just a bit difficult. I know they tried it with Hypno in the animé, but it didn't work out very well. Then again, it could just have been that this Hypno in particular hadn't quite mastered Hypnosis.
Just don't ask for a Darkrai to do it. As decent a guy as he is in the main games, Dark Void and Bad Dreams do not make the best combination.
^ Well Darkrai does bring you to New Moon Island via a dream, so that seems to imply that if he is aware of who he has affected, he can turn off Bad Dreams for them

^^^From what I've heard of that scenario, I thought he was asking you to fight him because knocking him out or keeping him in a Poké Ball were the only ways Bad Dreams could be turned off. Then again, there's nothing in that statement that disagrees with you.
