Yes you can catch Delibird. The area will be obvious. Also, neither fossil is great, but Jaw has a less abysmal defensive typing (Aurorus is Ice/Rock, which is... yeah.) And it depends, since neither's that great. Goodra's a special tank, Noivern is a fast... something. It's got decent SpA, but not great, and that's about it.
Remember back in the 50s when they'd record like Elvis singing YOU AIN'T NOTHIN BUT A HOUND DOG and then they'd turn the record over and reverse it and it was all NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP NYERP and people were all like, "That is actually the voice of Satan coming from that song."
If this influences your decision any, you can't get Noibat until the very end of the game, while Goomy can be found a lot earlier.
Personally, I picked the Sail Fossil, but I like both of them about the same.

If my sources are correct, in BW2, you get Surf between badges 5 and 6. So it'll be a bit of a wait.
On the plus side, it's a little better than having it between badges 6 and 7 like in BW1.

What shops did it give you to start out with, out of curiosity?
Also, I'm watching the YouTube upload of the Pokémon stage musical. This may not be the best idea I've ever had. Random comment: Why is Geodude, of all things, levitated higher than all the other flying ones?
Thought: Aegislash, naturally should always attack while in Blade Forme and always take damage in Shield Forme. For this reason, if I were to use it in competitive battles, I'd make sure it would have low Speed or use lowered priority attacks, and alternate between Formes every turn.

I only have experience in one tournament to go by, but most people who have Aegislashes seem to go the route of King's Shield/Swords Dance/Shadow Sneak/Sacred Sword. King's Shield and Swords Dance have clear reasoning, Sacred Sword has high power and good super-effective coverage, and Shadow Sneak's increased priority helps take out enemies who are already weakened before they get to move.
Still didn't save them from Titanus's Sturdy and Expert Belt Earthquake though. All he was missing was STAB, since Aggron is of course not of the Ground type.

I like how some of the randomizers switch the color palette around depending on their randomized type. It's the closest thing we'll probably get to type-synched Pokémon from Tabletop world in the actual game :P

My only hesitation with it is that Smeargle isn't exactly the fastest poker, even with a speed-boosting nature. There's a LOT of things out there that could preemptively cut that move off. Other than that, it's an interesting enough idea.
Togekiss on the left uses Follow Me, Beeheeyem in the middle uses Simple Beam on Smeargle, who uses Spore on the opposing right side Pokemon. In the next turn Togekiss and Beeheeyem do their own thing while Smeargle substitutes, Geomancies, and then Baton Passes to a Scrappy Exploud with the move Boomblast.

Ah. That could potentially work out very well. Just have to watch out for higher priority moves.
Also, in preparation for ORAS (5 months ahead of time, I know), I have discovered that the physical/special split was not kind to Sceptile. :(
Oh well, I'll make the best of what I've got, as usual.

PERFECT
For all that work you may as well set up a paralyzed Sturdy Shedinja with Safety Goggles.

Ursaring w/ Facade, Fling, and a Flame Orb in a double/triple battle with any Pokemon holding a Choice Band. Ursaring flings, and is given a Choice Band in turn, giving Facade a ridiculous power boost.

Wouldn't the Choice Band lock in Fling though? Unless I'm sorely mistaken.

I don't think Fling switches items, anyways. Only Trick and Switcharoo does. However, you can use Fling to do this:
Block so the opponent can't switch, heal yourself with Softboiled and recycle the Leppa Berry will never run out of PP. Fling activates the Leppa Berry on the opponent, meaning that they'll never run out of PP either. In battles without a time limit that allow this set (only Battle Spot singles on Showdown) you can make a neverending battle.
Maybe this is dumb and spiteful of me (actually, it almost certainly is), but I kind of like it when GameFreak spits in the face of the ''competitive scene''.
People flipping out about the IGN review (which gave the game an overwhelmingly positive score, like an 8.5 or something) is literally the dumbest thing I have ever seen from this fandom.
It was a problem in the original game and they should've fixed it.
Man i see people complaining about game reviews and their alleged shittiness like all the time, and half the time it's because the reviews weren't positive enough even though the overall score was high.

also i'd like recs on which fossil to pick, and should i try raising a goodra or noivern first?
any new pokemon that stand out as kinda fun/nifty to use? interesting strategies?
Oshawott
Riolu
Magnemite
Magby
I wanna get an Axew which is doable as soon as you get Surf, but I don't know when you get Surf.
also I've never done this Join Avenue thing before. It's fun to have people call you "Mistress" and have both of your catchphrases be "WHOOP!!"

The avaliable starters were Tentacruel, Ekans and believe it or not, Squirtle. I picked Squirtle obviously.
I caught a level 3 Crobat in the first route, but died shortly after to a wild Swampert.
hey it worked
Also I captured a Torkoal in route 22, but I missed the chance to capture the Pokemon in route 2 and green forest
