Yeah, I will admit, I'm not too sure about that mechanic. I feel like I'd be a bit too paranoid with trying to avoid taking too much damage, especially at the lower levels. It's good to have a mechanic that keeps you from pushing your Pokémon too hard, but that might not be the best way to go about it.
The other thing I'd change about it is that a 5-point Loyalty scale seems a bit too narrow. I like having a wider scale to estimate how well I've been treating my Pokémon. I know it shouldn't be the 256-point scale from the video games, but maybe a 10-point scale would be better?
Apart from that, it looks like a pretty good game setup.
They only die if they get down to negative their HP, though, and stuff generally won't attack them if they're unconscious, so I don't think the death mechanic is too much of a big deal.

Fair enough, I guess. You probably do have chances to save your Pokémon anyway (the saving throw, healing items, etc.). But I still think the Loyalty scale should be more than 5 points wide.
So, Icalasari, I have a few other questions. Where would this campaign take place? Is it an existing region or a made-up region? What kind of natural environments and Pokémon would I expect to see there?

^If I recall correctly, HMs are still in the tabletop game, but Pokémon can now learn 14 moves (7 level-up moves and 7 TMs/HMs) instead of just 4. The trade-off is that more powerful moves take more time to "recharge."

I think I'll pro8a8ly sit this out and stick to playing the video games. (I like ta8letop games so it's not that, 8ut they're more fun if you've got a group to play with in person than trying to coordin8 stuff online).

Just so you know, I'm available pretty much all day most Saturdays, and from about 3 PM - 11 PM (Eastern Time Zone, whoops) on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.

is there like a player's handbook of some sort? Because I can't find some rather important information. For instance, I have no idea what Pokemon I'm allowed to start the game with (given that I'm a Psychic, I'm thinking either an Abra or a Ghastly, but I don't know if I can do that or not).
When I learned that Aggron's weaknesses are so common and makes him impossible to contend with most other pokemon on a respectable scale....I was but heartbroken.
^^^^ Just about any non legendary Basic or Baby stage Pokemon is allowed. I'll tell you if it is something which I will not allow (for example, Scyther rapes everything. So no Scyther as a starter)
Can't you just battle with him? Is there a non-sexual version of this game? I'd rather not let the sexual ethics of pokemon get in the way of the game.
