Diane my Gigalith set up Stealth Rocks (I thought it layered so I wasted a turn trying to layer it) then used Smack Down to take out her first Pokemon
She then sent out Swanna and I switched in my Carracosta, Thomas, who I had use Curse twice before Ancient Powering the bitch (yes, I know, Curse doesn't boost the power of Ancient Power. It does make me harder to kill with physical attacks though, and I am not familiar enough with Unfezant or Swanna to know if they learn any fighting type attacks or not)
Then I Ancient Powered Unfezant and the rest is history
I'm still wondering what my team against N and Ghetsis should be. Obviously Zekrom. Toivo is guaranteed to be on my team. I should either have a dragon type or Shiva my Vanillish on my team for that blasted Hydreigon... But otherwise, no idea what team combination is best. Gigalith with Iron Defense could probably do a great job walling, and Thomas with Curse could lay down some hurt... If I get a Pokemon with Baton Pass and stat boosting attacks later on, then I could bring that and pass stat boosts to a member of my team...
Hmm... Well, so far this is my core team. Any suggestions on who would be best for N and Ghetsis (ESPECIALLY Ghetsis...)?
Stoutland, always overlevelled (Not going to use unless I experience a wipe. At which point, if that happens, I'm going to have a level 62 Stoutland with Ice Fang ready to tear him a new one) Furret Zoroark (going to be on the team, period. If I get around to finishing the write up for my Nuzlocke, well, he'll have story importance) Vanillish (will be Vanilluxe) Krokorok (will be Krookodile) Gigalith Carracosta Leavanny Maractus Litwick (going to be Chandelure - Give me a break, the Audino weren't biting, so I decided to save his training for more fertile grasses)
Of course Zekrom is going to be on the team whether I like it or not (even if he gets knocked out against N, I know N heals you after your battle with him and then you immediately begin your fight with Ghetsis, so I'm going to have to figure out how to explain any fainted Pokemon coming back to life in my run), and once again, Zoroark is going to be on, period, so that leaves four slots

Crmirnauc: Your comment about trying to stack Stealth Rock reminded me of something. If they can't make Stealth Rock not do super-effective damage, they probably should power it down but make it stackable like Spikes. As much of a pain as it probably would be to code for a move that does 1/16 or 1/32 of your total HP, it could address the numerous complaints that the move is overpowered. Though admittedly, they have already done so by not making it a TM that half the Pokémon in the world can learn.
Also, is it just me, or does it seem to be a natural law of Nuzlockes that every strong Pokémon you get attached to falls victim to a tragic accident? (Yes, I know it's just a RNG and an unfavorable choice of enemies, but this sort of thing seems to happen a lot.)
Yeah, it does seem to be a law. I think it's because you begin to over estimate your Pokemon's abilities. Hence, my fault for keeping Toivo out against a wild Scraggy
(Toivo could have taken a fighting attack (well, a shitty one. Thinking about it, Brick Break would be reasonable for Scraggy to learn via level up and that would have also fucked Toivo up), but I was NOT expecting Hi Jump Kick. Since when did those shits learn an attack like that? 1. That's more martial arts than street fighting, and 2. HOW DOES IT NOT TRIP OVER ITS OWN PANTS!?)
At least the Scraggy was in a new area (route 1, but completely different levels and Pokemon)

And one last note: At least the game has yet to take down Jasmine (my Leavanny), Max (my over levelled Stoutland named after my deceased dog), Grounder (got from Toivo's dreams and named after my first Sentret way back in Gold), or Sandy (Fuck yeah Krokorok). Max especially would be devestating, hence why he's always at least 7 levels above the next leader's highest levelled Pokemon, rounded up to the nearest 5 (the leader's level being rounded)

I've never actually gotten around to catching the Three Musketeers, so I'm not sure what level would be best to take on Cobalion. If you're not feeling too comfortable with how the fight might go, I would definitely go above 42.
How'd you come up with the name Toivo? It sounds cool. I'm having trouble coming up with names for any Zoroark I might obtain in the future.
Elam was his father (the Zorua even. In the story for this Nuzlocke I promised him nothing bad would happen to him. Fuck Emolga nearly killing you, leaving you relieved that the mon survived, only to then realize it is hailing...). Elam means Hidden
Eve was his mother (Lostlorn. I went for a story and hatched the egg in there, then made Eve die in battle as a sort of protecting her son thing). Eve comes from the Adam and Eve Bible story due to the whole Garden

Zekrom is pretty easy to catch in an Ultra Ball. She (because why not?) hardly ever used Bolt StrikeFusion Bolt against me, and IIRC, none of my slightly underleveled Pokémon fainted when I tried to get her in an Ultra Ball. The time I tried to get her in a Luxury Ball was harder, but I suspect you won't want to be using those anyway. As long as you use a good enough Poké Ball, it should be fine, especially since you plan on yours being a little overleveled for Mr. Super-Hydreigon.
And I haven't used Behind the Name for nicknames in a while. I might try it again sometime. Thanks!

So I'm mostly worried about Fusion Bolt and Slash. Golett, if I get one, could handle that. If it can learn Flash or Mudslap then I can make Zen Headbutt next to useless, and your pokemon would have to be VERY fragile not to handle Dragon Breath
I hope I can get a Deino. Then Mr. Super-Hydreigon will get to face Mr. Level 64 Murderface 8D
And really, Zekrom has terrific attack and, due to STAB, what counts as a base 150 attack working off of that attack stat

My favorite type (besides Dragon, but everyone likes that type anyway) seems to alternate between five depending on how I feel: Water, Psychic, Ghost, Poison, and Grass.

I'm a little bit skeptical about previous protagonists appearing, especially Red. I'm not sure what made Red want to run away and be a hermit, but it kind of gets in the way of any possible plans to travel overseas for tournaments. But you never know, especially since it's been at least five years since the events of Platinum and HG/SS.
Speaking of which, apparently there's a rumor supported by Serebii that most of the World Championship Tournament trainers will be wi-fi events. It's not confirmed yet, but it might be something to keep in mind.
