Parkay is a brand of spreads that was once owned by Kraft Foods

It was sold to Nabisco in 1995, then to its current owner ConAgra in 1999 (the following year, Nabisco would merge with...Kraft! This merger was essentially undone when Kraft split in two twelve years later; the Nabisco brand name and those associated with it are now owned by Mondelez International, though the Planters brand, previously owned by Nabisco, is with Kraft)

  • real talk: does anybody here ever have margarine?

the idea (and the reality) has always struck me as rather gross and we've never had it around our house

we pretty much exclusively use margarine.

the only real difference between it and butter is that it's cheaper and slightly more malleable
  • No, no, no, no, not just "butter", "ʙᴜᴛᴛᴇʀ". See the difference?
  • also legit I barely if ever have actual butter because my rents always get margarine

(though we call it butter anyway for convenience's sake)
