the notion of March being when the year truly begins

I think I picked this up from the movie studios using January (and to a degree February) as dump months

Also how out-of-the-groove I tend to feel during the first month or so of Spring Semesters

    Years are long! For me, at least, they veer wildly about in tone

    My years can vary in tone, as well, but March defines a big chunk of it, at least.
