Eh, they have to stay pretty fluid in regards to adding words, so I can't say I'm shocked. English is also just full of loan words, so another is not that big of a deal.
If weeaboo endures as well as otaku, it could very well end up in the dictionary.
Just look at some of the stuff that's been added. Or don't...'cause if you're upset about "Otaku" I doubt knowing "Muggle", "Gaydar", or "Meatspace" is in the dictionary is going to improve your day.

A dictionary is just a tool used to describe the lexicon, guys. It isn't something meant to legitimize a word on its own. A lot of people don't want "nigger" to be a word, but taking it out of the dictionary won't do shit.
