Yaaay! I don't have to go to school tomorrow!

I was going to stay up late trying to finish the reading due tomorrow, but now I'll be... well I'll still be staying up late reading so I don't fall too far behind, but now I can sleep in!

Around here at least, it happens much less often than K-12 schools having snow days, but it's not exactly unusual either.

My college has a tendency to cancel classes once the day has already started. "Oh, all classes after 3 PM are cancelled" WHY COULDN'T YOU HAVE MADE THIS DECISION EARLIER

Maybe it's just because I live in Canada (hell, I remember that, from K to 12, I only had one or two snow days. And it wasn't due to snow but it being -40 or something stupid cold like that BEFORE wind chill)

Yeah, but considering how many hills are in Seattle, people sometimes find that their "breaks" are now "the next solid thing I collide with" when driving around the city on a snowy day.

True, there are a lot of hills, but I think the stereotype comes from people who have so little experience having to drive in the snow that they can't even handle flat surfaces either.

That's a possibility, they certainly get more rain than snow.

And, as a result pretty much no one has the correct tires for dealing with snow, so that can't help.
