    i think it would be obvious, given the reference implicit in the whole conceit of this thread

    Ok, but hear me out right, one of the major flaws of the teleporter was it merged the dna of specimens being teleported right? So to that end, imagine if the thing was just about to devour Sunny-chan the otaku while he was in the teleporter(put there by bullies) but then it teleported the both of them.

    Then when Sunny-chan kun wakes up the next day, he finds out that not everything is as it seems, and while he's being bullied by the super beefy jocks, it turns out whatever happened to him has given him powers.

    so the jocks beat him up, but in the end he's not hurt, like some of anime where in the next scene the bruises are mysteriously faded and he comments on this in an introspective manner.

    But then he sees her.

    Waifu-chan across the school yard, there she is, they've been friends since they were young, but Sunny doesn't like that she looks at him like a sister, while he sees her as a love interest.

    She's dating Buff Tanter-kun... who also happens to be one of the jokes who beats up Sunny-chan Kun.

    Sunny-chan kun hopes that his gentle heart will win over Waifu-chan from the dark and mysterious Tanter-kun. 

    But having realized the full extent of the powers he got, he knew he had to play it a little cooler for waifu-chan, so the next day, after eating a small dog, Sunny-chan kun slicked back his hair to look like Vegeta from DBZ. knowing full well this bad boy look would woo the gentle and nubile heart of his sweetheart Waifu-chan.
