Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog is better than SatAM

i'm pretty sure it is

nicer to look at, more interesting overall

only good thing about SatAM seems to be Sally Acorn and her delicious voice

I never really watched SatAM, but I remember trying to once and thought it was bizarre...like I was watching an old H-B action cartoon. I wanted goofy Sonic, dammit!

Loopy De Loop has a better French accent than Antoine D'Coolette

(Even though goofy Sonic reminded me of my crush at the time for weird autistic reasons :P)

AOSTH has backgrounds that look like those in the early H-B cartoon shorts

As for the H-B action cartoons, they happen to have good music that was performed with live instruments and not this cheap synth shit

AOSTH also does not use real instruments for its BGM because DIC, but whoever did the music knew not to really bother trying to emulate them

Sally is, I admit, so much cuter when people who can actually draw get at her and put her in that blue vest
  • Dulcy the Dragon

I admit, I only knew about Sally after seeing the Nostalgia Critic review...that's how little of SatAM I ever saw.

I knew of Sally already, but I am a Sonic fan

    Dulcy the Dragon

i looked up dulcy after all this time putting it off and oh god her character design is awful

SatAM has animation and design that makes 101 look like it was made at MGM (yes I know I like some of Cadpig's poses and expressions but I've said a lot that the show was sadly plagued by substandard animation work)

it is weird how Sonic's all this totally rad catchphrase-spouting Atom Ant-type in SatAM

his AOSTH self seems to have more actual personality than his SatAM self!
  • I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
I love H-B but Atom Ant is an exceptionally annoying character and I have to use him as a go-to for this sort of thing

at least he has a boss theme song
  • imagei will watch the heck outta this pumpkin patch
Sonic was always 'totally radical' though

that's a big thing with him, they just downplayed it more in some things and played it up in others

SatAM plays it way too loud and it feels out of place

I was serious when I compared him to Atom Ant. Atom Ant is all looks and no substance. He has no real personality, no variance to his voice (alternately provided by Howard Morris and Don Messick, who have both been in much better roles than this), and speaks mostly in catchphrases. SatAM!Sonic is quite similar to him.

Fuck DAMN Kath Soucie is way too good for this show (but somehow I'm okay with her voicing Cindy Bear in Yo Yogi! - I honestly think I'd enjoy that more than this despite all the baggage attached to it)

she must have needed the money

Jim Cummings does bring a real menace to Robotnik though
