The Bridge is similarly deserted and dark, though as you approach what looks like the ship's central command terminal, you hear a low humming sound, and see a small orb of light hovering above a holo-projector.
The entire command console suddenly whirs to life, a boot up screen reading WIDE EYES OS flashes across the main terminal, and a hologram--standing a good two or three heads above any of you--is projected into the room. A purple-skinned, red witch hat-wearing blonde cyclops looms over you.
"Who are you? You're not part of the crew. Don't touch my terminals!"
"You wouldn't happen to know what happened to the power systems, would you? It'll be a lot easier on us if we can drive this thing back home rather than towing it."
"Correct." Kwakuu pursed his lips, wondering whether skipping any pleasantries and going back to the gecko would be impolite. Blasted social etiquette lessons.
"...Sorry, I can't do this politely, what is this overgrown gecko and why is it in a place where it can take out the power?"
"Hmmm, I'm thinking of something, and as captain, there's no greater resource than my crew for feedback." Reiwu addresses her crew.
"Whatever else we find down there, the presence of this Gecko certainly is interesting" Reiwu focuses on Kwakuu, "you mentioned towing this ship right, do you think we could do that?"
"It's not as though I don't think, collectively, we can't handle whatever creatures this ship may throw at us, but in turn, how far do you think we'll have to go to simply incapacitate these creatures?"
"If we could simply tow the ship, this freight could offer more to us alive than dead"
"Halicigothorex. Surely you didn't come aboard without knowing what my ship is carrying? He is a war criminal, being transferred to a high-security facility. Yes, I remember now, I was displeased at being relegated to such a menial task. Again. I have been in service for over three centuries, one thinks they could find me a more important job to do."
"Take that up with your secretive employers, not us". He turns back around to Reiwu.
"Towing is what we'd have to try if we couldn't get the navigational systems working, but I'm not sure if our ship can do it efficiently. My education was swordsmanship and, ugh, fine dining, not ship mechanics. We should aim for driving it ourselves with a prize crew. Less use of our resources."
"And there's no way we're flying this thing back to Hokaign until we know where Hal the Rex is and what happened to the crew. So, Baba, how do we get to the cargo hold?"
"It is not so much that I don't want to say....more that I really just can't. He cut the power before, and he'll do it again if he knows I'm talking about him. I was being honest when I said I didn't send out that SOS, he did. I was content to just play the waiting game, I have been in service over three times as long as your lance ship's AI, waiting a few years for him to run out of rations, then crew, then vermin to feast on would be no issue for me. But I cut the engines, and he needs a way off this ship."
"Okay, listen, Baba Yaga. You may have hid information from us before, but right now, you are going to help us stop the lizard from stealing our ship. Right? Because our ship has weapons, and a war criminal would have no issue with blowing us up."

"I was meditating. The power probably went out because of that overgrown gecko in the basement."
"Kwakuu, Sparin, Erica, and....Reiwu? Reiwu. You're Neonans."
