  Any interest I might have had in smoking was killed by the fact that my grandmother, who was a heavy smoker when she was younger, developed severe COPD...

  No...I hate the smell, and I actually used to put my mom's cigarettes out when I was really little (she quit in 1985 or so).

  Never had respiratory problems before (despite the air in my valley during the winter) and I really don't want to risk getting them.

  I used to like the smell of tobacco smoke
  
  but earlier this year my mom quit smoking so i haven't been around it for a while
  
  so a couple of days ago when i went to get my dad a cigar at the cigar shop i could barely stand to be in the place

  Considering I've already done it, yes. Granted, wouldn't recommend it at all, but it was actually pretty useful in dealing with my post-audition stress. Never smoked regularly though, just a few times.
  
  Do kinda like flavored pipe tobacco though.
