Disney overpaid, but they got it...

...and it led them to their doom.

Marvel Entertainment CEO Ike Perlmutter has gotten fed up with not having been granted even more autonomy by his new-ish corporate bosses, and shot the Walt Disney Company dead with his gun. It was 91.

What happens now?

  • They get a license for Imogen Heap's music, I guess.

I've learned to tolerate drama...except on the boat
I would go through the wreckage, grab the deeds to 101 Dalmatians and Pepper Ann, and run off
  • Touch the cow. Do it now.
I lay claim to Duck Tales, the Gaston song, and Ariel's tits

    I'd take Darkwing Duck

We have to share Launchpad McQuack though
  • Touch the cow. Do it now.
also, I want some parts of Fantasia
  • We can do anything if we do it together.
Could I have The Emperor's New Groove?

CA can keep Alice in Wonderland, though.

Disney is gone. Nobody owns any of this stuff. So take whatever you want!

    Thanks!

I'll also be taking Who Framed Roger Rabbit? and whatever original art of Carl Barks' stories lies in the vault, then.

*picks up Lady and the Tramp and The Aristocats to complete the set*

I notice nobody seems to want Marvel or Star Wars though
  • For once, or maybe twice, I was in my prime.
Well, I can't blame them. Whoever got ahold of Marvel and Star Wars would find themselves on the receiving end of fanboys complaining beyond their wildest imagination.

    but also the big $

(truthfully, though, Disney's ownership of Marvel bugs me because I don't think their brands mesh very well. I'd like to think someday it stops making them so much money and somebody after Iger doesn't think Disney needs it anymore)
