The "quarantine" reasoning doesn't work. Didn't work with IJBM, FF or TT. I keep thinking that if OTC keeps on being problematic it will be axed. They like the idea of fixing it but I'm not sure how well that is going.

I don't know why I say this, considering that I'm pretty much done with TVT now.

It doesn't work because it perpetuates the notion that you don't need to enforce the rules or deal with the sites problems, but just move them somewhere else, which 1. just enables the mods to be as lazy as possible (which is a bad thing), 2. trivializes the rules and makes the users (and mods) think that they aren't as important, and 3. makes problem posters think they can go one being terrible. It's a horrible solution in pretty much every way.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the more recent bans had something to do with that.

Though, the fact that those threads more often ended up locked than otherwise probably is a bit of a factor as well...

I wouldn't worry too much. Best Of is level-headed and Katrika's cool. The only of the new mods you'll have to worry about is Shimaspawn. He loved acting like a mod when he was a maintenance engineer, I imagine he'll end up a lot like Fighteer now that he really is one.
